STREAMLINE CO-DEVELOPMENT HELPS BRING NIGHT CITY TO LIFE
CD Projekt RED selected Streamline Studios as its first external co-development partner for the post release of Cyberpunk 2077 in their $125 Million USD strategy to enhance the base game on their roadmap to v. 2.0. The strategy paid off, with Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty lauded as one of the best DLCs of all time, and helping Cyberpunk 2077 break 25 million copies sold.
Our C++ engineering team and designers focused on the long road to 2.0 with major refactoring and optimizations that now yield a more stable and more performant base game. Backlog bug fixing formed the initial bulk of support, transitioning into feature refactors such as navigation, vehicles, and quests. Features grew in complexity, such as the full implementation of a cross- progression system uniting the play experience on console and PC. Further development assistance included mini-game development in Trauma Drama as part of Phantom Liberty.
